2006.08.31–Alfred, Ohio. Happy Birthday Jeanie!
Joe, Angie, Jeanie and I had dinner at Rio Bravo to celebrate Jeanie’s birthday.
2006.08.30–Alfred, Ohio. Jeanie and I met 28 years ago today.
2006.08.29–Alfred, Ohio. Angie called with great news, she got the job at Eastern and is now a Kindergarten teacher! Way to go Mrs. Weeks!! 
We spent the day in court today over a civil suit brought against us for an auto accident that happened over three years ago. The jury got it wrong in my opinion. They were duped by lies on the stand. Pity this sort of thing can happen. It shakes ones faith in our system.
We immediately head for the hospital for Jeanie’s mom after we leave the parking lot. She was admitted again.
2006.08.26–Cincinnati, Ohio. Happy Birthday Angie!
Dad, Pat, Doug, and I went to Brotherton’s in Mt. Healthy for breakfast. It was very pleasant to see everyone and the food was good.
2006.08.25–Florence, Kentucky. I drove the Mazda for the first time today to have it serviced. After that I went to visit with my Dad.
2006.08.24–Alfred, Ohio. Happy Birthday Dad!
2006.08.22–Alfred, Ohio. Steve and Mary Ellen made it to Paris this morning.
2006.08.21–Alfred, Ohio. Happy Birthday Steve!
2006.08.19–Florence, Kentucky. Steve and Mary Ellen made it to London this morning around 10:00 a.m.
Jeanie bought her car today. It is a blue Mazda RX8 with a rotary engine. She drove it home.
2006.08.13–Alfred, Ohio. We went whitewater rafting yesterday! The water was up six and a half feet above its normal for this time of year. Everyone made it and is no worse for the wear. I sure had a few thrills riding the waves of a raging swollen river through an ancient gorge full of tremendous house sized boulders… Yee Ha!
Rafting for the first time were: Joe, Laurie, Angie, and Kate. Joe had gone once before and Nick twice. This was the fourth time for Jeanie and I making us the old hands at this.
2006.08.11–Alfred, Ohio. Jeanie’s mom, Jean, was admitted to the hospital today.
2006.08.08–Alfred, Ohio. Happy Birthday Tom and Cyndi!
2006.08.06–Alfred, Ohio. Dennis and Kim are spending a week in Northern California. UPDATE: They ended up visiting San Francisco, Berkeley, HWY 1 up the coast, the Redwoods, and Yosimite.
