Micki’s photos
I don’t mind labels, but my daughter does…
I have a daughter who usually does not like to have her picture taken. When she does allow it, I am thrilled. I try to contain myself and not push too far, so that maybe she will be willing to pose again soon. This day, however, I pushed it. She agreed, after much begging, pleading and bribing on my part, to allow me to photograph her up close and personal. Instead of a normal portrait, I labeled different parts of her face, arms, and feet. Writing on her was either painful for her or it tickled. I, however, felt nothing and enjoyed our afternoon project. I got my photos, and they will always be there to remind me of our afternoon and the fun we had; and she got a new video game out of it. To her, that was worth the discomfort and the day she spent with “nose” written across her face.
