You wouldn't imagine how much time you might have spent away from home until you write it down. Below is a table showing some of the places I've spent time in. —in progress 2004.02.29.

years: eight US West Virginia Parkersburg eight hours a day working since 1983
years: three US Ohio Columbus worked for several years and had several apartments near the OSU campus
years: two, eight months US Missouri St. Louis 1980-1983
years: one, one month US Kansas Ft. Leavenworth U.S. Army
months: eight US Indiana Indianapolis U.S. Army
months: three US Pennsylvania Pittsburgh contract work at US Steel
months: two, two weeks US Louisiana Ft. Polk U.S. Army
months: one, two weeks US Colorado Denver 1972 Steve and I worked there while out West
months: one US Louisiana New Orleans three weeks in 1972 with Vinh, one week in 1979 with Jeanie on our honeymoon, a couple of days with Jeanie, Kate, and our kids, a few hours after basic training at the airport
